Nickel Boron offers outstanding results with its ability to uniformly coat complex shapes without needing post-grinding. It has unique properties and excellent hardness, wear, and abrasion characteristics. It has become the finish for serious firearm enthusiasts. The coating provides excellent lubricity, a low coefficient of friction, and solderability.
Applications of Electroless Nickel Boron
Many choose Electroless Nickel Boron because it provides lubricity and release similar to EN-PTFE and can withstand temperatures up to 2600F.
Standard thickness callouts are .0003/.0005.
Pre-blasting is recommended for improved adhesion on hardened material.
